Final Announcement

Workshop Location and Dates

The New Views of the Moon 2 – Asia workshop will be held April 18-20, 2018 at The University of Aizu Auditorium in Aizuwakamatsu City in Fukushima prefecture, Japan.

Purpose and Scope

Given that missions to the Moon since 2000 have been multi-national in nature, New Views of the Moon 2 (NVM-2) is an international project. Therefore, having this workshop in Asia is important for international participation in this project, especially from countries that have space exploration programs focused on the Moon.

From the first NVM-2 workshop, the chapters for NVM-2 have been outlined and are available at http://www3.nd.edu/~cneal/NVM-2/. Because the New Views of the Moon 2 – Asia workshop is designed for presenting new science and exploration results as they relate to the Moon and integrating these into the chapters, contributed talks are, therefore, essential and welcomed. Updates on the progress of the various chapters will also be given, and integration between them will be explored and highlighted.
