Program and Presenter Information

The workshop program consists of plenary sessions and a poster session. Morning and afternoon oral sessions are organized around topical themes defined by the chapters as outlined at http://www3.nd.edu/~cneal/NVM-2/.

For details, view the program and abstracts. Authors will not receive notification letters, so they should check the author index to see where their presentation has been scheduled.

Overview of Agenda:

Thursday, May 4 Oral Presentations
Poster Session/Reception
Friday, May 5 Oral Presentations

Contributed oral presentations are scheduled for 12 minutes per talk with an additional 3 minutes allotted for discussion. Invited talks are for 25 minutes with 5 minutes of discussion. Discussion periods are scheduled to end each half-session, before breaks and lunch.

A PC laptop, LCD projector, and speaker remote will be available for oral presentations. In order to facilitate a smooth transition between speakers, all presentations must be preloaded onto the session room laptop and tested in advance.

To aid the preloading process, create a folder on your flash drive/CD called “newviews2017” and place your PowerPoint presentation in that folder. Include your last name in the naming of your presentation file. An IT technician will be available each morning from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. and each afternoon from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m. to assist with loading your talk.

Hardware and Software Specifications for Oral Presentations —

The session room will be equipped with a laptop computer that has Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Reader. Design your oral presentation to work with these programs. Additional use of Mac Keynote may be available, but this is not guaranteed.

Note: All electronic submission forms are part of the Meeting Portal, which requires users to set up a personal profile to access our electronic forms (setting up a profile is quick and easy, requiring only a few minutes of your time).
