Where Do Comets Go When Their Regoliths Become Desiccated?
[#6421]
Comets are active for ~1000 perihelion passages: Their orbits are stable for much longer. There must be many more inactive comets than active comets. We argue that C-complex asteroids are extinct comets and carbonaceous meteorites are comet samples.
