Application of Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) to Investigate the Petrogenesis and Shock Deformation History of a Pink Spinel Anorthosite (PSA) Clast in Lunar Meteorite Northwest Africa (NWA) 15500 [#6468]
Application of EBSD to evaluate PSA petrogenesis from a PSA clast in NWA 15500 supports the formation of PSA by magma-wallrock interactions between Mg-suite parental melts and anorthositic crust, followed by excavation from depth by two shock events.

Unusual Shock Features in Northwest Africa 807 L6 Ordinary Chondrite [#6054]
We studied the shock features of L6 ordinary chondrite meteorite NWA807. We observed distinct mineral textures in melt veins and we documented two possible impact events that could have created these unique features.

The L6 Chondrite Northwest Africa 4672: A Potpourri of High Pressure Phases [#6045]
Under intense shock, phases like ringwoodite, wadsleyite, majorite, akimotoite, albitic jadeite, lingunite, xieite, tuite may formed as in meteorite NWA 4672 showing peak P 18–23 GPa and T 1800°–2100°C and lower P due to heterogeneity or shock decay.

Stöfflerite, (Ca,Na)(Si,Al)4O8 in Hollandite Structure, a Shock-Induced, High-Pressure Mineral in the Tissint Martian Meteorite [#6245]
Stöfflerite is a high-pressure polymorph of Ca-rich plagioclase, here formed by shock metamorphism during the impact event(s) on Mars that led to the excavation and ejection of Tissint off the Red Planet.

Ureilitic Carbon Shock Defects at Nanoscale: The Example of Five Frontier Mountain Ureilitic Samples [#6294]
This study on carbon phases will help in adding another tile to unravel the shock history of diamond and nanographite formation in ureilitic meteorites through a deep investigation of their shock defects by transmission electron microscopy.

Shock-Induced Melt Pockets from the Dar al Gani Martian Shergottites: Microtextures and Mineralogy [#6226]
Discussion of the mineralogy, geochemistry, and microtextures of melt pockets of shergottites from the Dar al Gani (DaG) apparent martian strewn field. Data from FE-SEM, BSE, FIB, EDS, and µRaman analyses will be presented.

Characterization of Impact-Generated Deformation in Iron Meteorites [#6370]
Impact experiments into iron meteorites revealed extensive cracking. We investigate if edge effects from the sample shape/size are the cause for the fracturing via XCT analysis. We ponder what implications these features have for asteroid Psyche.

Shock-Generated Micro-Transform Faults [#6431]
Shock veins are discontinuity planes within rock. They have been documented in many meteorites types, where they are a common feature. More recently, they have been discovered in terrestrial impact structures. Shock veins are microtransform faults.
