Oral Presentations —

Oral presentation timeslots on the program range from 15 minutes to 5 minutes. Please check the program carefully to determine your allotted presentation length. Guidelines for the use of the time are:

15-minute timeslots: 11 minutes for speaking and 4 minutes for discussion and
speaker transition
12-minute timeslots:  8 minutes for speaking and 4 minutes for discussion and
speaker transition
5-minute timeslots: 4 minutes for speaking and 1 minute for speaker transition. Presentations will be followed by dedicated discussion time.


A two-minute warning will be issued at the 9-minute and 6-minute marks for 15- and 12-minute talks, respectively.

A PC laptop, LCD projector, and laser pointer will be available for oral presentations during the scientific sessions.

In order to facilitate a smooth transition between speakers, all presentations MUST be preloaded in advance. To aid the preloading process, create a folder on a flash drive “MERCURY 2018” and place your PowerPoint or PDF presentation file in that folder. Please include your last name in the naming of your presentation file. IT assistance will be available outside the meeting room at 8:00 a.m. each day to assist with loading and testing your presentation. The meeting room is capable of running both 4:3 and 16:9 PowerPoint aspect ratios, but 4:3 is recommended for visual quality. Please ensure that your presentation functions properly on the below platform prior to arriving as it will be the only medium for presentations.

Poster Presentations

Poster Setup: Tuesday, May 1, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Poster Removal: Thursday, May 3, upon conclusion of the meeting
Poster Size: 44" × 44" (110 cm × 110 cm)
Materials Provided: Pushpins

 

The poster session and reception will be held Tuesday, May 1, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
