Meeting Location

Lunar and Planetary Institute, Universities Space Research Association (USRA) is located at 3600 Bay Area Blvd, Houston, Texas.

Meeting participants are on their own for lunch and can choose from a variety of restaurants within driving distance from USRA Houston.

Important Note About Parking

Limited parking is available at the USRA building, so meeting participants are asked to park in the University Baptist Church (UBC) parking lot. The University Baptist Church is located at 16106 Middlebrook Drive, Houston, TX 77059. A shuttle bus will run during the meeting to take participants to and from their cars.

Directions from Bay Area Blvd:  Turn left on Middlebrook Drive and continue 0.4 miles. The UBC parking lot will be on the right, just past Glenshannon Drive. There are plenty of parking spaces available for meeting participants, and signs will be posted at the shuttle pickup and drop-off location at the north side of the lot.

Note:  Only employees with USRA Parking Passes will be allowed to park in the USRA lot.

Hotel Information

Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and hotel reservations. A limited block of guest rooms has been reserved at the Candlewood Suites, 2737 Bay Area Blvd., Houston TX 77058, at the rate of $89.00 plus sales tax. Reservations can be made using the online hotel link or by calling 281-461-3060 (refer to group “Mars Dust”). Reservations must be made on or before Friday, June 2, 2017. Reservations made after this date will be subject to availability and prevailing rates. The location of the hotel in relation to the USRA building is shown on the area map.
