Session Chair Instructions
Session chair duties are slightly different this year, given the virtual format of the conference. Duties include session chair training before LPSC, session introduction, transition of presenters, moderation of questions and answers using the Zoom webinar Q&A feature, session timekeeping, and session closure.
All session chairs are required to attend one of the two virtual session chair training meetings scheduled for March 3 and 4. This meeting offers an opportunity to review and test the conference virtual platform, review session chair guidelines, and ask questions. A calendar invitation will be sent soon.
Session Duration: The total duration for all sessions is 60–65 minutes. Do not allow presenters to change the order of presentations as listed in the program. Attendees rely on the published program schedule.
Session Chair Guidelines: Read over the guidelines that pertain to your assigned session and take time to familiarize yourself with your co-chair and the speakers in your session.
