This year’s oral presentation format is different for the all virtual LPSC. While we will have some live sessions with the customary presenter/Q&A format, most sessions will feature a consecutive series of 3-minute, 3-slide lightning talks presented by authors who have pre-recorded and uploaded longer presentations to the vFairs platform. The longer, pre-recorded presentations will be available for community review on March 8. During the oral session, the lightning talks will be followed by a panel-style Q&A between the audience and presenters and moderated by the session chairs.
Fully Live Oral Presentations
The total duration of the live presentation will be either 15 or 20 minutes. Presenters will be notified individually about their assigned presentation duration.
Presentation Timelines
- 15 Minutes Total: 11 minutes for speaking and 4 minutes for discussion and speaker transition. A two-minute warning will be issued at the 9-minute mark.
- 20 Minutes Total: 15 minutes for speaking and 5 minutes for discussion and speaker transition. A two-minute warning will be issued at the 13-minute mark.
Accepted file formats: PowerPoint, Keynote, PDF
File name and submittal: Your presentation file must be submitted for back-up purposes in the event of technical issues during the session. Use LastName-AbstractNumber as the file name. Submit the file to LPSC 2021 Presentations.
Pre-Recorded Oral Presentations
Pre-Recorded Presentation
The total duration of your pre-recorded presentation is 15 minutes and will be uploaded to the virtual conference environment through vFairs. Click here for more information about presentation creation and upload process.
Accepted file formats: MOV, MP4, M4V
Live Lightning Presentation
The total duration of your live lightning presentation is 3 minutes. A presentation file with a maximum of 3 slides is required.
Accepted file format: PDF
File name and submittal: Use LastName-AbstractNumber as the file name. Submit the file to LPSC 2021 Presentations.
Deadline to submit all presentation files: March 1, 2021, 5:00 p.m. CST
Revisions to presentations will not be accepted after March 1, 2021.
