Peripheral Meetings and Events

Since this year’s LPSC is virtual, USRA/LPI will not schedule the traditional peripheral meetings and other community-organized activities during the week of the conference. However, if members of the community would like to self-organize their own team meetings, professional development training, AG group discussions, etc., via Zoom, RingCentral, or some other virtual meeting tool, we will advertise their availability to the community by listing them on this page.

To be eligible for posting, peripheral meetings must not be held during the regularly scheduled LPSC technical sessions, must be of benefit to the planetary community, and must be held between March 14–19.

To request a listing, send an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line “LPSC 2021 Peripheral Meeting Listing” and include the following information:

  • Name of requestor
  • E-mail address of requestor
  • Date and start/end time of scheduled meeting, including time zone
  • Name of meeting (e.g., Ice Giants Workshop, Planetary Scientists of Color Networking, Next Generation Lunar Scientists and Engineers Workshop, etc.)
  • Description of meeting (what the meeting is about, who can attend, what the logistical arrangements are, e.g., Zoom meeting ID, registration form, e-mail instructions, etc.)

Requests for listing may be submitted up to and including the week of the conference. USRA/LPI reserves the right to determine whether meetings are appropriate for listing. Questions should be directed to [email protected].
