Peripheral Meetings and Events

LPSC Peripheral Policy

Peripheral meetings held in conjunction with LPSC must meet certain criteria in order to be supported. Due to the significant number of requested meetings, limited space, and limited resources, not all requests can be accommodated; however, requests received by the deadline will be reviewed in a timely and equitable manner. The LPI reserves the right to consolidate sessions that are on similar topics.

Criteria for Meeting Space Requests —

  • Must not be an independent science session to be held within the scope of LPSC
  • May not be proposed during the regular technical sessions of LPSC
  • Must show a clear benefit to the planetary community

Peripheral meetings will only be scheduled between Sunday, March 15 and Thursday, March 19, 2020.

All requests must be submitted using the form provided below and must be received by January 10, 2020.

Important Note:  Requests received after the peripheral request deadline will not be considered. It is recommended that any attendee who is considering a peripheral meeting submit a request now to ensure the request is received and reviewed.
