Poster Instructions

**NEW THIS YEAR:  In order to allow poster presenters the opportunity to view other posters, presenters are only required to be at their posters for one hour rather than the duration of the entire poster session. Presenters who intend to take advantage of this option should be prepared to post the specific time they will be available at their poster.  Preprinted forms will be provided for this purpose.

Poster sessions will be on Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Poster location assignment guides will be available in the Town Center Exhibit Hall and at the conference registration desk. Poster presenters should check their assigned location number carefully, since assigned locations are subject to change after the online program has been released.

E-Poster Submission Open March 4 —

We are giving poster presenters the option to upload an electronic file of their poster (e-poster). LPI’s interactive e-poster system provides additional exposure of your poster by giving your fellow attendees, as well as others, the ability to view your poster online.

The deadline for uploading e-posters is Friday, April 5, 2019. Poster presenters will only be allowed to submit a file once, so make certain that all typos have been corrected before uploading the file.

Uploading an e-poster is as easy as uploading an abstract:

  • Login to the abstract submission page of the Meeting Portal (https://www.hou.usra.edu/meeting_portal/abstract_submission/)
  • In the ACTION column, click on the E-Poster link next to the listing of your LPSC abstract that was assigned to a poster session
    • All e-posters must be submitted in PDF format
    • The maximum file size allowed is 6.0 MB

Adding a QR Code —

Once you have uploaded your poster file, the URL to access your poster will be https://www.hou.usra.edu/meetings/lpsc2019/eposter/XXXX.pdf, where "XXXX" should be replaced with your four-digit abstract number. If you've uploaded the file in advance of the conference, you can use this URL to create a QR code to place on the poster. (Remember that this will be a broken link unless you've already uploaded the file!)

Poster presenters are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to increase the visibility of their research.
