Communicating Your Science Effectively —

Want to improve your oral presentation skills? Need tips on how to effectively design a poster? Then this workshop is for you! The Next Generation Lunar Scientists and Engineers will be hosting a workshop on how to effectively communicate your science. Emily Lakdawalla of The Planetary Society will speak on how to give better conference talks, and Paul Byrne from NC State will discuss strategies for poster design. The presentations will be followed by an open Q&A and discussion time. All are welcome!

Meet the MEPAG Committee Members —

You are invited to meet with some of the members of the Mars Exploration Program Analysis Group (MEPAG) Executive and Goals Committees (including new members) and find out more about the role of MEPAG in community discussions and studies regarding the Mars Exploration Program. This is an opportunity to speak with MEPAG Executive and Goals Committee members, as well as Mars Program Office staff (information about MEPAG membership, structure, and events can be found at https://mepag.jpl.nasa.gov/about.cfm). Note that this informal event is not a MEPAG meeting, but instead is an opportunity to directly ask questions and communicate concerns to MEPAG leadership.

Stop by the LPI’s portable planetarium for demos on how you can use a planetarium to share your science! LPI education and public engagement staff will be on hand to discuss ways you can use the visualization power of a planetarium to communicate the excitement of your science.
