- Letter of recommendation from his/her research advisor
- Copy of the first-author abstract

NOTE: Applicants should be aware that the selected award recipients will be expected to provide a few hours (no more than four) of volunteer service during the conference. The assigned duties will be general in nature, and will include such tasks as distributing registration materials, restocking conference materials and supplies, helping clean up/reset the poster area at the conclusion of the poster sessions, etc. Awardees will be contacted by the LPSC student volunteer coordinator to schedule specific times of service after travel plans have been finalized.
