Program and Presenter Information

Detailed information about the agenda is available by viewing the program and abstracts. Authors will not receive notification letters. Please check the author index to see where your presentation has been scheduled.

Oral Presentations

A PC laptop, LCD projector, and speaker remote will be available for presentations during the oral sessions. In order to facilitate a smooth transition between speakers, all presentations will be preloaded and tested in advance. To aid the preloading process, create a folder on your flash drive called “lmi2019” and place your PowerPoint presentation in that folder. Please include your last name in the naming of your presentation file. Someone will be available each morning and afternoon to assist in loading your talk.

Speakers must hand-in their PowerPoint presentation files at least 12 hours prior to their allotted presentation time. Speakers for Monday morning, September 30, must hand in their talks at the speaker-ready room in the FINATEC Centre during registration on Sunday, September 29.

Regardless of the number of talks you have given, speakers are encouraged to read the excellent blog written by Emily Lakdawalla:  Speak Your Science:  How to Give a Better Conference Talk.

Poster Presentations

A poster session and reception will be held Monday, September 30 from 5:30–7:30 p.m.

Poster presenters should be at their posters during the times listed above to field the discussion with their peers.

Poster Setup Posters can be hung the morning of Monday, September 30.
Poster Removal Upon conclusion of the conference.  Posters left behind will be discarded.
Poster Size (Portrait format only) 39.5" × 49"(100 cm × 125 cm)

How to design an effective scientific poster by Paul Byrne is an excellent resource for poster presenters.

The Organizers are offering to arrange for onsite printing of posters. If you are interested in this service, send your file in PDF format, scaled to the final size of printing, no later than September 22 to [email protected].

Price:  R$66 to be paid when picking up the poster

Late printing can be done at two printing shops on the campus (see UnB campus map below under Meeting Venue). Printing is offered with 24-hour completion.

E-Posters —

Poster presenters will be given the opportunity to upload an electronic file of their poster (e-poster). The interactive e-poster system provides additional exposure by giving fellow attendees, as well as others, the ability to view posters online.

The e-poster capability will open September 16, 2019 and close October 14, 2019. Poster presenters will receive instructions via e-mail for uploading their posters.

Note: All electronic submission forms are part of the Meeting Portal, which requires users to set up a personal profile to access our electronic forms (setting up a profile is quick and easy, requiring only a few minutes of your time).
