Scene-Setting Speakers

As a scene-setting speaker, your presentation has been selected for a Pre-Recorded Oral Presentation. You will need to prepare and submit a pre-recorded presentation and slides for a live overview presentation.

Pre-Recorded Presentation

The total duration of your pre-recorded presentation is approximately 30 minutes and will be uploaded to the virtual conference environment through vFairs.

  • Accepted file formats: MP4, M4V, MOV
  • File name format: LastName-DateofPresentation
  • Deadline to submit the pre-recorded presentation file: April 25, 2021, 11:59 p.m. CDT
  • Revisions to pre-recorded presentations will not be accepted after April 25, 2021.

Live Overview Presentation

The total duration of your live overview presentation is 5–10 minutes, depending on your session: up to 10 minutes for a regular 90-minute session and up to 5 minutes for a short 45-minute session. Please refer to your invitation e-mail from the moderators. You will be responsible for sharing your slides during the live session. A copy of your slides needs to be submitted prior to the workshop in the event of technical difficulties during the live session.

  • Accepted file format: PDF or PowerPoint
  • File name format: LastName-DateofPresentation
  • Submit the lightning presentation file to: Heliophysics 2050 Presentations.
  • Deadline to submit your presentation file: April 29, 2021, 5:00 p.m. CDT
  • Revisions to presentations will not be accepted after April 29, 2021.


Zoom Speaker Guide

Prior to your session you will receive an e-mail from [email protected] with your unique session link. Use this link to enter the Heliophysics 2050 virtual environment at least 20 minutes before the start of your assigned session.


Poster Presenters

You will receive an email from Houston Meeting Info during the week of April 12 with your iPosters login information and instructions to create your interactive poster. After receiving this email, log in to the iPosters platform to create your interactive poster.

The deadline to publish your iPoster is April 23. You can continue to make changes after that date without needing to re-publish. After you’ve made additional changes, click Save to update your iPoster.

If you do not receive your iPoster login information contact [email protected]. Please check your junk folder as well.

Poster session presentations will be in Gather.town according to the agenda.
