Workshop Format

Heliophysics 2050 is designed to facilitate interdisciplinary and cross-divisional conversations about worlds in our solar system and beyond. The workshop will include invited oral talks and contributed posters. Each oral session will conclude with a 30-minute panel discussion consisting of speakers from the session. Discussion facilitators will be asked to consider and discuss how their presentation fits into the Science Web.

Session Timeline

Session Moderator Introduction Up to 5 minutes
Scene-Setting Presentations Regular 90-minute session: up to 10 minutes

Short 45-minute session: up to 5 minutes
Discussion Facilitator Presentations Up to 5 minutes each (2 to 8, depending on session)

Poster presenters and attendees are encouraged to discuss the long-term impact of the presented topics, with an eye toward collaboration in submitting white papers to the the 2024 Solar and Space Physics Decadal Survey.

Posters will be displayed in the iPoster gallery in the virtual workshop environment.

On the final day of the workshop, we will host a community forum to identify goals and next steps. We anticipate that a product of this workshop will be one or more white paper(s) submitted to the Heliophysics decadal survey by the community. We encourage all attendees to participate in this important final session.

Note: All electronic submission forms are part of the Meeting Portal, which requires users to set up a personal profile to access our electronic forms (setting up a profile is quick and easy, requiring only a few minutes of your time).
