Science Areas
Our understanding of the outer solar system bodies within the past decade has been greatly advanced by the analysis of data acquired by laboratory facilities and instrumentation advancements. These data have yielded investigations on ice phases, rheology, geophysics, atmospheric chemistry, irradiation studies — to name a few — that have been accomplished and are ongoing. It is important to collaborate on many levels toward our understanding of experimental analysis and improve instrumentation. Some of the general categories that will be addressed at the workshop include:
- Galilean moons and Jovian system
- Titan
- Saturnian system
- Uranian/Neptunian systems
- Triton
- Pluto
- Transneptunian/KBOs
- Ice-related work (i.e., physics, chemistry)
- Atmospheres
- Spectroscopy
- Irradiation/photolysis studies
- Laboratory facilities and instrumentation
