Student Travel Support

The deadline to submit applications has passed.

NASA’s Mars Program Office has announced that travel funding awards are available for up to three (3) students who plan to present at the conference. Students over 18 years of age who are U.S. citizens or legal residents are eligible for this program. The student travel awards are competitive and will reimburse travel and registration expenses (up to $1100).

Applications are due July 18, 2017 (same as the abstract deadline). NASA Headquarters will make the selections and students will be notified in August. For more information and the application form (to be available by Friday, June 9), visit https://mepag.jpl.nasa.gov/student.cfm?expand=student. Questions about this program should be directed to Serina Diniega.

In addition to submitting the application form provided by the Mars Program Office, students who are applying for the award need to answer “YES” to the appropriate question on the abstract submission form.

Note: All electronic submission forms are part of the Meeting Portal, which requires users to set up a personal profile to access our electronic forms (setting up a profile is quick and easy, requiring only a few minutes of your time).
