CloudSat and CALIPSO Science Team Meeting
November 3–5, 2014
Greater Washington DC Area

The joint CALIPSO/CloudSat Science Team Meeting is a forum provided to the science team members to report on their investigation activities to NASA management and to other members of the CALIPSO and CloudSat science teams. NASA management uses information gained from these meetings to evaluate the results of NASA funding and to obtain insight into the state of the science in order to plan future programmatic activities in support of NASA’s research and flight missions.

Additionally, the CALIPSO and CloudSat Project Offices use information gained from these meetings to support key project decisions and guide the development of the Senior Review proposals.

Topics to be covered include

  • Science investigation reports from science team members and their teams, including post-docs
  • Algorithm and validation reports from key project and science team members
  • Project reports on flight hardware status and performance, lifetime projections, data processing, and other topics of general interest
  • Future algorithm development, including collaboration with the A-Train OCO-2 mission scheduled for launch in summer 2014
  • Possible future changes to the A-Train configuration; this discussion will affect the CALIPSO and CloudSat Senior Review proposals due in early 2015

More information, including details about the venue and schedule, will be available shortly.
