Meeting Location

The LPI is located at 3600 Bay Area Blvd, Houston, Texas 77058.

Hotel Information

A block of rooms is reserved at the Candlewood Suites, 2737 Bay Area Blvd, Houston TX 77058, 281-461-3060. The cutoff date for the discounted rate of $94/night plus taxes is Monday, August 13.

Airport Information

The Houston area is serviced by two major airports:  Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) (42 miles from the conference venue) and Hobby Airport (HOU) (16 miles from the conference venue).

Important Note about Parking

Limited parking is available at the LPI. Once the parking lot is full, conference participants are asked to park at the nearby University Baptist Church, 16106 Middlebrook Dr, Houston TX 77059 and take the conference shuttle to the LPI.

Meals

Networking and continental breakfast are planned for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

Conference participants are on their own for lunch.  For those choosing to go out for lunch, there are a number of restaurants within a short driving distance from the LPI.

Rideshare and Roommate Searches

Conference participants looking for a rideshare opportunity from Hobby Airport or George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston and/or to share rental car expenses can post a notice on the conference rideshare bulletin board.

If you are interested in finding a roommate to share housing expenses, post a notice on the roommate bulletin board.

For privacy and security reasons, the bulletin boards have been moved into the USRA/LPI Meeting Portal, so users will need to log into the Portal in order to view the available listings or post a message.

Before submitting a posting, participants should check the board to see if there are any current postings that match their specifications. To contact the poster, simply click on the name to the left of the listing.

Individuals can edit or remove their own postings by clicking on the "Edit" button and then resubmitting the modified post. To remove a posting, simply delete the text and then resubmit.

USRA/LPI is not responsible for the content of these postings, matching up rideshare, or mediating disputes that arise from such arrangements, and reserves the right to remove postings that are deemed inappropriate.
