Program and Presenter Information

The workshop program consists primarily of invited talks, with a small number of contributed abstracts invited to give talks. Plenty of time is built in for discussion. Many abstracts are presented as posters and a large poster session/reception is scheduled on Monday, 5:00–7:00 p.m. Lunches will be provided at the workshop and there are many places nearby for dinner.

For details, view the program and abstracts. Authors will not receive notification letters, so they should check the author index to see where their presentation has been scheduled.

Wrap-Up Discussion

Contributed oral presentations are scheduled for 12 minutes per talk with an additional 3 minutes allotted for discussion. Invited talks are for 25 minutes with 5 minutes of discussion. Discussion periods are scheduled to end each half-session, before breaks and lunch.

A PC laptop, LCD projector, and speaker remote will be available for oral presentations. In order to facilitate a smooth transition between speakers, all presentations need to be preloaded onto the session room laptop and tested in advance.

To aid the preloading process, create a folder on your flash drive/CD called “chondrules2017” and place your PowerPoint presentation in that folder. Please include your last name in the naming of your presentation file. An IT technician will be available each morning from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. and each afternoon from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m. to assist with loading your talk.

Hardware and Software Specifications for Oral Presentations —

The session room will be equipped with a laptop computer that has Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Reader. Please design your oral presentation to work with these programs. Additional use of Mac Keynote may be available, but this is not guaranteed.
