LPSC Student Travel Grants

The SETI Institute, with support from the NASA Astrobiology Institute, is funding a limited number of travel grants for undergraduate and graduate students to attend the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference.

Funding may be used to pay for transportation, lodging, meals, or the conference registration fee up to $600.00 per student, and will be provided via a travel reimbursement from the SETI Institute. Receipts for expenses are required.

Eligibility —

  • Students can be U.S. citizens, legal residents, or foreign nationals with either a U.S. social security number or U.S. tax ID number.
  • Students must be enrolled at a U.S. college or university at the time of the conference or the semester immediately following the conference (if during break).
  • Selections for awards will be limited to students who are making oral or poster presentations in the conference sessions related to the search for life in the universe:  astrobiology, exoplanets, planetary systems, and bioastronomy.

 

Applications must include proof of applicant’s affiliation with a U.S. institution. You must submit documentation (a copy of your student ID, registration confirmation, departmental letter, etc.) with your application to be eligible.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE DEADLINE OF 5:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, February 19, 2016. All applicants will be notified the following week, prior to the early registration deadline of February 28, 2016.
